Welcome once again readers to the informative site – AFFAIRS, where the posts are relatable and notable articles as such. This post, in particular, is to help further identify our individuality and to seek personal improvements with the findings I’ve gathered. Remember, I’ll inform you further on pivotal issues that aid in on our journey to success.
Welcome dear readers, there are problems life throws at us sometimes and we end up stressed, in fear, or worried. We even end up with setbacks or doubts. Today’s hashtag is #reallife, don’t forget to use it in addition to your comments in the box at the end of the page. Here is a simple and applicable question to ask yourself during times of problems…
Are you happy? If yes, keep going, and if no, change something and ask yourself the same question again.
…it just turns out that sometimes a problem becomes deep-rooted in our lives, such that, it takes a little bit of time and more effort to have that problem under control…
Today’s writings ball down on some real life’s problems, and here they are..
POVERTY
Yes readers, we had to start we that! Why not call a spade, a spade huh? Interesting to note that this point makes everyone’s top list if we’re to really consider it. Now that we’ve mentioned, let’s find how it has caused a divide in societies let’s read further and see what Paul Piff says…
Paul Piff, a Psychologist at the University of California said in an interview that, “The real general finding is that, inequality, being a way of making people feel more distant from one another stretches the social fabric. It pulls us apart from one another, experiential, physically and psychologically.”
Now, the biggest problem for some people living in the world is poverty. There’s a place in Ghana called Sodom and Gomorrah where you won’t want to live. The only reason why people will live there is poverty. People are living there because of poverty. The photos below show some areas in Sodom and Gomorrah and other slums in Asia.

“There is nothing necessarily wrong with inequality. Of course, people have unequal endowments of intelligence, beauty and different parents. Where I start to worry as a sociologist is when people accumulate dynastic wealth. Dynastic wealth meaning, a lot of money, that gets transferred down through generations. As such, that starts to stabilize systems of inequality across society, and that constricts the opportunities available to everybody else.” -Brooke Harrington (Sociologist, Copenhagen Business School).
“…a successful democracy exist with very polarized citizenship with lots of people who are rich, and also a lot of people who are below the middle income class level.”
Branko Mikanovic (Former Chief Economist, World Bank)
There is a clear line that separates the rich and the poor. We can only imagine a world where everyone is rich. Tell us in the comment box what you think the world will look like if everyone was rich.
SICKNESS
Another problem of life is sickness. There’s a proverb in Ghana that says, “If someone is going to stab you in the back, then it is going to be through sickness.” This is because, when you don’t have good health, you may have to depend on someone, maybe for life, to do everything for you. Meanwhile, on the other hand, if you have good health and are strong, you could do things that will benefit your life and future plans.
You may be going about looking for suitable medication for your sickness or you may be getting the best medications, but if your mind is disturbed because of other things.., you won’t get well in these two instances. So to recover from sickness is related to peace of mind.
MARRIAGE
And there’s marriage. With marriage, if you marry the wrong partner, the world becomes hell. You could be living in Jay-Zs’ house and still feel like you living in hell. This happens if you marry the wrong woman or if you marry the wrong man.

You will end up disagreeing on a lot of issues if you marry the wrong partner/
In life, because we all grow from different situations or environments or we have different backgrounds. You could meet someone at an outing, instantly admire.., and then marry impulsively. Hell breaks loose, and you start to notice each other’s real behaviors. You two may not be a suitable couple after all, but before getting to that point, you will have quarreled a lot, as married people do.
Marriage is one of the biggest sources of problems in life.
On the other hand, marriage can be life-saving. Take this example, a woman’s situations instantly change when she gets a good marriage, even if she was poor initially.
JOB | WORKPLACE

Do you know your job is another form of marriage? You spend most of your days at work. It then makes sense to say there exist a form of marriage between you and your co-workers. The following is why we have considered your job a form of marriage…
You may have a co-worker or a supervisor who irritates you so much that you don’t enjoy your morning trips to work. There is also an instance where you would be working with a certain boss who appreciates nothing you do and becomes so difficult.

There are people who have working condition issues that may be due to their bosses actions towards them or unacceptable advances towards them. They begin to feel so scared going to work and in the long-run have had to quit their jobs, not because the salary is not good -the salary is good, but the working conditions are not favorable.
CHILDREN
And then the fifth one..which is more serious than all the other problems we’ve mentioned earlier and it is children. It is worse than all the other problems in this world when children start to give you problems.
Imagine the following to know about this inner pain we’ve just mentioned…The moment your child start to cry deep in the night, you as the parent have to wake up and cater for the child, no matter how deep you may be asleep, ..you have to do everything. Now, imagine being disrespected severally by this child when he or she grows, ..thinking about that, can you imagine the inner pain?
This is also a problem when your child goes wayward in life. Every parent certainly wants the best for their children. Even though parenting is a life long duty, there’s a point in your children’s life you give them the freedom to do things for themselves. In so doing, it hurts to see your child threading on a wrong path because of influences or bad decisions. Naturally, every parent will want to put his or her child back on track.
Here are the real-life problem we face in our individual lives in these times. Let’s all do well to acknowledge them in order to handle or deal with them according to strengthen ourselves and then our futures.

OK. So?

I think you make some very interesting points here. Things like poverty and sickness are objectively bad, but I think things like marriage, your job and your children present problems, but they also work out very well for some people. Personally, I tend to agree with you – marriage and children can be more trouble than they’re worth unless you find the right person and have a true calling to be a patient, forgiving, kind, open parent.

Yes Jess, exactly. All these work out very well for some people. Until they start to present problems.

Yes @swamiyesudas, this post is peculiar, sensitive and very true. Good to know you agree with our list and also identify all these points as life problems.
Yes, marriage and children are also major areas of real life problems. Interestingly, it is in these two areas where inward pain is felt the most. Everyone else, but you agree that these two can cause major headaches.
You may not have noticed, but you carefully read this article, you find solutions resounding in there.
It will be great to see your list of real life problems. Can’t wait to hear from you again @swamiyesudas

“…journey to success” is what your headline says. How do you define success?
LikeLike
Exactly. We all have our definition for what success is. This creates points of view for everyone. At every point in time in our daily lives, we set a goal or goals (with values, morals and or ethnics), hoping and working towards them and when we achieve them, we say we’ve been successful.
The problems listed in this post, are pertinent problems -if not some, plenty people face them somewhere in this world. They may not apply to everybody, but they are happening, Ankur.
Nevertheless, done properly, these routine gives you the edge ahead of the pack and gives you an advantage to be successful.
